Waipi'o Gardens

Rainforest Safari Adventure Walk in King Kamehameha’s footsteps through our private botanical garden estate located in Waipi’o Valley, Hawaii. Botanical societies and universities from around the world have studied the unique, fast-growing species found in Waipi’o gardens which is hailed as one of the most diversified canopies in the State of Hawaii per acre, with breathtaking waterfalls and exotic lily ponds, makes this safari one of the Big Islands top activities. We begin with registration at Hawaii’s Hamakua Ecology Center. A suggested donation for the Rainforest Safari Adventure includes membership of Earth Aware. All proceeds go towards supporting environmental educational programs focused on living in “Lokahi” harmony with our “Aina” land.
